“Why should I pay £23 every month when there’s nothing wrong with my teeth?”
It’s a fair question.
And our answer at Curzon Park Dental is simple:
We’d like to keep it that way.
Our Oral Wellness Membership isn’t really about getting a couple of appointments included in a monthly payment.
It’s about prevention.
It’s about seeing you regularly, getting to know you and your mouth, and giving ourselves the best opportunity to spot a problem while it’s still a small problem.
That’s why we’ve deliberately structured our membership differently.
Why do we see our members every 3 months?
There’s an important part of our membership that you might not notice from simply looking at what’s included.
We split your Oral Health Assessments and hygiene appointments throughout the year.
So rather than seeing us twice in quick succession and then potentially not walking through our doors again for another six months, your appointments are staggered.
That means you’re normally seeing a member of our clinical team every three months.
And that’s intentional.
Prevention, prevention, prevention
Dentistry has traditionally had a bit of a problem.
Something hurts.
You go to the dentist.
The dentist fixes it.
You leave.
Then you wait until something else goes wrong.
That’s not how we want to look after our patients.
We’d much rather prevent problems where we can, identify changes early and help you maintain a healthy mouth over the long term.
And there’s evidence behind this approach.
Research published in the British Dental Journal has found that regular dental attenders have better oral health than irregular attenders.
More recently, research using data from the Adult Dental Health Surveys in England found regular dental attendance was associated with lower levels of active tooth decay and deep periodontal — or gum — pockets.
That doesn’t mean regular dental appointments can guarantee you’ll never need treatment.
Unfortunately, nobody can promise that.
But it does support something we strongly believe at Curzon Park Dental:
Regular preventive care matters.
Why not just see the dentist every six months?
You can.
But we think there is a benefit in having contact with your dental team more regularly.
That’s why we don’t put your dentist and hygiene appointments together.
Your Oral Health Assessment might be this month.
Approximately three months later, you see your hygienist.
Three months after that, you’re back for your next Oral Health Assessment.
Then your next hygiene visit.
Dentist → Hygienist → Dentist → Hygienist.
It means there isn’t one long gap where nobody professionally checks what’s happening in your mouth.
If something has changed, we’ve got an opportunity to spot it.
If your gum health needs a little more attention, we can address it.
If your home cleaning has slipped in one particular area, your hygienist can help you correct it.
And if everything looks fantastic?
Great.
That’s exactly what we want.
Does regular preventive dentistry mean I’ll need less treatment?
This is where we need to be careful about making promises.
We can’t tell you that joining our membership means you definitely won’t need a filling, crown or other dental treatment in the future.
What we can tell you is that research supports regular dental attendance being associated with better oral health.
There is also research showing an association between preventive dental visits and fewer subsequent non-preventive dental visits.
For us, however, it comes down to something even simpler.
Would you rather we found a problem earlier or later?
We know which one we’d choose.
What does the Curzon Park Dental Oral Wellness Membership include?
Our Oral Wellness Membership is £23 per month and has been designed around one thing: prevention.
As a member, you receive:
- 2 Oral Health Assessments each year
- 2 hygiene appointments each year
- Your appointments staggered so you’re normally seen by our clinical team every three months
- Routine X-rays included
- Priority access to emergency appointments
- Global dental emergency cover
- 10% off routine dentistry
- 5% off selected services, such as teeth straightening
- 5% off sundry oral hygiene products purchased from the practice
But for us, the most important benefit isn’t actually the discount.
It’s how often we get to see you.
By alternating your Oral Health Assessments and hygiene appointments, you’re normally back through our doors every three months.
That gives us more opportunities to monitor your oral health, help you maintain healthy teeth and gums and identify changes as early as reasonably possible.
Because our aim isn’t to wait until you need dentistry.
Our aim is to help you need as little dentistry as possible.
Can new patients join?
Yes.
You don’t have to have been a patient with us for years before becoming a member.
New patients can join our Oral Wellness Membership straight away.
Your membership benefits begin immediately, although you’ll need to have been a member for three months before your full Oral Health Assessment is included within the plan.
When you join, we’ll book that three-month appointment at the same time.
So it’s done.
It’s in the diary.
Your spot is secured.
If you’d prefer to see us sooner, you can book a new-patient examination for £95.
Is a dental membership the same as dental insurance?
No.
Our Oral Wellness Membership is designed around your ongoing preventive care with us at Curzon Park Dental.
It includes the appointments and benefits we’ve described above, but it doesn’t mean every piece of dental treatment is free.
If you need routine dental treatment, members receive 10% off our routine dentistry price list.
You also receive 5% off selected services, such as teeth straightening, and 5% off sundry oral hygiene products purchased from the practice.
We’d always rather be clear about that than have someone join thinking they’re buying an insurance policy that pays for everything.
Is dental membership actually worth £23 a month?
We think the better question is:
What do you want from your dentist?
If you simply want somewhere to go when a tooth hurts, membership probably isn’t what you’re looking for.
But if you want to look after your teeth and gums proactively, see a dental professional regularly and build a long-term relationship with a team that gets to know your mouth, then our Oral Wellness Membership has been designed for exactly that.
For us, membership isn’t about getting you to pay monthly.
It’s about getting you into a preventive routine.
We want to see you regularly.
We want our hygienists to help you maintain excellent gum health.
We want to identify problems as early as we reasonably can.
And ultimately, we’d like to help you keep your own teeth healthy for as long as possible.
Our aim is to help you need as little dentistry as possible.

We can get you joined and book your three-month Oral Health Assessment at the same time, so your next appointment is already secured.
If you’d prefer to be seen sooner, you can book a new-patient examination for £95.
Because we’d much rather see you regularly while everything feels fine than wait until you’re calling us because something hurts.
The evidence behind our approach
Our preventive approach is supported by research into regular dental attendance and oral health.
A 2026 British Dental Journal study analysing Adult Dental Health Survey data from England found regular dental attendance was associated with lower prevalence of dental caries and deep periodontal pockets.
Earlier UK research published in the British Dental Journal also found regular attenders had better oral health and experienced less severe dental-health problems than irregular attenders.
Research in adults in the United States has additionally found an association between preventive dental visits and fewer subsequent non-preventive dental visits and lower dental expenditure.
These studies demonstrate associations and don’t prove that dental membership itself prevents future treatment. Our membership is designed to make the regular preventive attendance associated with better oral health easier to maintain.
Membership benefits, discounts, global cover and exclusions are subject to the terms and conditions of the Curzon Park Dental Oral Wellness Membership.
